​Do I need curriculum for supplemental purchases?

Yes. See video explaining the rule implementation here. Anything purchased can be tied into one of the four (4) required subject areas and physical education.

Will I be reimbursed by the ESA program for the purchase of AZESACURRICULUM forms submitted through ClassWallet?

Curricula/curriculum and supplementary materials are reimbursable fees according to state law. See here. (A.R.S. 15-2402(B)(4)(e))
Can I use these forms for homeschooling?

Yes.

The ESA program requires account holders to spend a portion of the funds on: grammar, reading, math, social studies and science. All required subjects are available as prepared curriculum forms. The "English" curriculum includes reading and grammar, in addition to other grade-appropriate lessons.

​​Can I reuse the form?​

​Yes. The forms are yours to keep. There is a 30-day window to download your document from the email. Download & save the form.
PE is not a required subject. Why should I purchase PE curriculum?

This form can be used for any physical activity that your child is participating in such as a climbing facility like Makutu's Island, Alta Climbing and Fitness, trampoline parks, etc.

How detailed do I need to be when describing "Materials Needed" on the curriculum form?

Items purchased should be documented exactly as they appear on the receipt so reimbursements are not delayed or denied. This includes book titles; list each book title. Be as specific as possible to help the ESA staff determine the validity of the purchase.

Do I have to explain every item I purchased?

Yes, it is now required.

When explaining your purchase, it may be helpful to use language from the Rule itself.

Here is the Rule:
-
Supplemental materials according to the rule, "means relevant materials directly related to the course of study for which they are being used that introduce content and instructional strategies or that enhance, complement, enrich, extend or support the curriculum."

For example:

A book on financial literacy: "This book will be used to complement the math curriculum."

Lego purchase (Legos can be used to learn fractions.): "Legos will be used to enhance the math curriculum on fractions. "

Why can't I change the the body of text in the prepared curriculum form?
-
The forms were created in "Protected View" to allow fillable boxes only. This protects the document from accidental deletions.

What documentation should I include if my child is being tutored or participating in extracurricular activities like swimming?
